Tina is the Aquatic Director and is trained in AED, CPR, First Aid, Lifeguard & Water Safety Instruction and Training. She works closely with the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association to provide excellent training programs at Thoreau Club. She manages the team that keeps our pools in excellent working order. |

J is a motivating swim coach and the head swim coach at Thoreau Club. 35 years of experience working with kids backs up his thoughtful approach to coaching athletes and kids learning to swim. J has worked with special needs kids to gain confidence in the water. J is also the head coach for our Thoreau Sharks kids’ swim team. |

Betsy is CPR/AED, First Aid and Lifeguard Instructor certified and is a Water Safety Instructor. She has taught Red Cross swimming for over 30 years and is a state certified educator. Betsy holds a license in Special Education and early childhood which is helpful in getting young children over their fear of swimming. |

Hannah is CPR/AED, First Aid and Lifeguard Instructor certified and is a Water Safety Instructor. Hannah coordinates swim lesson registration helping you to find the right class that works with your schedule. She enjoys teaching people to learn how to swim for the first time. |

Kelly is AED/CPR, First Aid, Lifeguard Instructor Trainer certified and a Water Safety Instructor Trainer. Kelly is the head trainer for Lifeguard Trainer and WSI Trainer. She carefully conducts each class so that the information is understandable and can be retained. Kelly is also an understanding and detailed swimming coach. She takes time with each student to ensure correct technical stroke skills. She works with adults and kids to perfect swimming efficiency. |

Kendra is a Lifeguard & Water Safety Instructor. She is a swimmer, collegiate rower, tri-athlete and competes as a Masters Swimmer. Kendra has completed her Level 2 coaching certificate from the American Swimming Coaches Association and USA Swimming. Kendra is the Aquatics Director at Camp Thoreau in the summers and is a coach for Thoreau Sharks in the winter. She incorporates fun activities as a part of each skill lesson. |

Maureen is a Lifeguard Instructor and Water Safety Instructor. She started swimming with a local swim team at age 7 and has been swimming ever since. Maureen helps beginning swimmers feel comfortable in the water and makes learning to swim fun with water games. |

Molly has been teaching swimming lessons for 17 years. She has coached both USS and recreation swim teams. Her favorite aspect of teaching swimming is seeing her student gain confidence. Molly is also an elementary school teacher. |

Noah is CPR/AED, First Aid and Lifeguard Instructor certified and a Water Safety Instructor. He is a strong swimmer and enjoys working with children on stroke skills. |

Rebecca is CPR/AED, First Aid and Lifeguard Instructor certified and is a Water Safety Instructor. Rebecca always has a smile for her students and incorporates fun games and singing to make swim lessons seem like a party! She is patient and nurturing and loves playing in the water after a great lesson. |

Tom is AED, CPR, First Aid, Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor Certified and is a Trainer. Tom has been working with swimmers of all ages for over 30 years to improve their swimming efficiency and overcome their fear of water. His lessons are relaxed, fun and sometimes challenging. He believes that teaching is about instilling confidence in swimming. Tom trains adults to teach swimming and be water safety wise so the next generation will love the respect the water. |

Wendy is CPR/AED, First Aid, Lifeguard Instructor certified and a Water Safety Instructor. She is a lifelong swimmer and coaches young swimmers to have safe, fun experiences in the water.
