Membership Freeze

The Thoreau Club provides a Membership Freeze option designed to accommodate today’s busy lifestyle. You may freeze your membership for up to 4 months for personal reasons, such as extended travel or medical reasons, for a nominal monthly fee, during each calendar year. Monthly membership dues are temporarily suspended or prepaid member’s renewal date is extended. During the hold period, in order to keep your membership continuous, we reduce your membership fees to $15 per month. A youth membership can be on freeze for a maximum of 2 months.

· Temp or summer memberships do not qualify for Membership Freeze

· In order to enjoy summer at Thoreau, your swim membership must be active by February 1st.

· All account balances must be paid in full

· All membership freeze requests must be made in writing and must be received by the 15th of the month, and are NOT retroactive. NO EXCEPTIONS PLEASE

Membership reactivation will automatically occur on the return date specified, including any membership billing.

Club Access: While on Membership Freeze, you do not have access to The Thoreau Club. Should you choose to use the club during while you’re on hold, it will constitute the reactivation of your membership and subsequent billing.

Membership Freezes are for full calendar months. Freeze Date Begin (effective the first day of requested month, must be submitted by the 15th of the previous month)
