Dance - Faculty

  Miss Tricia - Founder and Director of On Your Toes. Tricia has danced and trained in Pennsylvania, California and Boston. She trained and taught at the prestigious  California Dance Theater and performed at Pepperdine University. Tricia also performed and trained with the Jeannette Neill Dance Studio and Reagle Players. She started teaching at age 13 and hasn’t stopped since. She attended Northeaster University for Child Psychology.
 

Miss Shayna has been dancing for 21 years and teaches the On Your Toes Dance Company classes. In 2004 she toured across the US with the Dance Olympus faculty working with award-winning choreographers from around the country and performing in each city. Shayna teaches dance to students of all ages and has taught hip hop and cheerleading in local public schools. She was the director of the HJSOD Hop Hop Team which has been ranked #3 in the country. Many of her students have competed regionally and nationally and have won outstanding medals and special awards. Shayna won “Best Dancer,” “Broadway Bound,” “Best Emotionally Executed Dancer,” “Best Technique,” and “True Dancer.” She was awarded the “Future Star Award” and was featured in Dance Spirit Magazine.

 

 

Miss Elizabeth began dancing at the age of 5 and fell in love with dance. She received her formal training from the Boston Ballet School and attended summer intensive programs at Jose Mateo Ballet Theater in Cambridge and the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop. Elizabeth has a Psychology major and Dance minor. She toured with the CU Moving Company performing in schools across the state. Currently Elizabeth works full time in the Psychiatry department at Mass General Hospital and dances with Dance Works Boston.

 

 

Miss Mary Jean performed in many off-Broadway shoes in New York City as well as community productions. She has choreographed main stage musicals and shares her brilliant choreography with the students.

 

 

Miss Lori danced professionally with the Boston Ballet. She was trained with Andre and Leda Eglevsky School of American Ballet and Violette Verdy. She currently teaches at Jose Mateo in Cambridge and teaches Adult Ballet for On Your Toes.

 

 

Miss Alison was the founder and Artistic Director of the Westford Studio of Ballet Arts. She was a company member and soloist with the Cambridge Chamber Ballet and has choreographed for them as well as WSBA and Clark University. She has performed with Reagle Players Turtle Lane Playhouse and Wellesley Players. Alison also enjoys performing in musicals. She won EMACT's Best Supporting Actress for acting, singing and dancing for the role of the Snake in The Diary of Adam and Eve.

 

 

Miss Jessica is a coloratura soprano with broad music experience, performing music from Medieval through recently composed pieces for her own voice. She has perfomed at the Skirball Arts Center, RedCat, the Ojai Music Festival, Long Beach Opera, the Beach Cities Symphony, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, and the Greek Theater. Jessica was a finalist in the prestigious Meistersinger competition. She has a BA of Fine Arts in vocal performance and is an accomplished violinist. In addition to working with musical theater for On Your Toes, Jessica is a massage therapist at The Thoreau Club.

 

 

Miss Susanna attended Walnut Hill School for the Arts. She was in the Corps de Ballet of The Hamburg Ballet in Germany and joined the Boston Ballet and received a Princess Grace Foundation Fellowship for outstanding young artists. Susanna has been the Ballet Mistress for the Greater Milford Ballet Company and the Deanne School of Dance in Mendon, MA.

 

 

Miss Lana is a well-known and popular area dance teacher. Trained in all areas of dance, Lana brings Jazz/Tumble to our curriculum. Her upbeat and positive attitude inspires all dancers. Lana has over 20 years of teaching experience and has appeared in many dance productions.
