Planet Thoreau
Thoreau Club’s kid friendly atmosphere in Concord, MA is the perfect place for summer camp! Planet Thoreau is our half-day camp for kids ages 4-10 that runs rain or shine and features sports on our outdoor field, swimming in our beautiful pools and Splash Park, cooking, dance, music & arts and crafts. Also trips to our day camp - Camp Thoreau - where kids will have the opportunity to experience drama, archery, nature, Project Adventure and more.

9am - drop off at playground for outdoor play
9:30 - Good Mornings!
9:45 - dance, music, or drama at On Your Toes or field trip to Camp Thoreau
10:30 - sporting games/craft time/cooking
11:15 - indoors for snack
11:30 - free play in the pool
12:30 - lunch/playground
1pm - pick up
Dates and Rates
Monday - Thursday Weekly (4 consecutive days) - Members: $200/child, Guests: $240/child
June 24 - August 22 Daily - Members: $60/child, Guests: $70/child
9am - 1pm 10-Pack - Members: $500/child, Guests: $600/child
10-packs expire on August 22, 2013
Afternoon Options
After Planet Thoreau we offer swim lessons from 1:30-2:00pm. Our staff will transport your child to the lesson for you. Group & Private instruction are available. Contact Thoreau Swim for swim lesson questions.
Staff
Our 5 to 1 camper to staff ratio gives you peace of mind that your child(ren) are fully supervised. It is our goal to make every child feel welcome, safe and successful. All of the counselors and administrators and Planet Thoreau are carefully chosen for their leadership abilities, creativity and enthusiasm for working with children. They are college students, former Thoreau campers and year round Junior staff. Our staff members exhibit their commitment by sharing their kindness, understanding and diverse personal talents with the campers. They are fun, energetic and love being here with your children.
Policies and Procedures
All Planet Thoreau campers are required to submit a medical/immunization form from their Pediatrician at time of registration. This form is required in order for your child to participate in a camp. It is also mandated by Massachusetts State Law. Planet Thoreau complies with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and is licensed by the local Board of Health. Parents may request copies of our health care, discipline and background policies.
