I was a Division 1 college swimmer for Boston College. My "strokes" for BC were the 100 yard butterfly and the 200 yard Individual Medley. I first began teaching swim lessons 40 years ago (true! - when I was 16), and first began teaching kids to be lifeguards 38 years ago (when I was 18). In college and law school, I worked for a tour company and brought clients whitewater rafting in Maine and Canada, and skiing all around New England. My swim/water safety background got me the job! I'm an environmental lawyer, but teaching kids and young adults in the water is way more fun!
