9th & 10th Graders

CIT (Counselors in Training)
You've made it to the top and now it is time to be trained to be a leader. Campers take part in some of the training elements we use to train the Camp Thoreau team. Drawing from decades of experience the CITs learn conflict resolution, peer mediation, bullying prevention and how to build and maintain a positive group dynamic.

Four week commitment with training and plenty of field experience provided

Group Placement
CIT's are placed in groups and work with both Unit Counselors and program areas throughout their four-week commitment in order to provide them with a robust leadership training program.

Hang Time
CIT's enjoy time with their fellow CITs and CIT Mentor as they develop the leadership skills crucial for preparing them for life beyond Camp.
