Welcome to Camp Thoreau. In 1951 my grandparents started a camp designed to unite families and friends through traditional camp activities. Flash forward to 2021 and we proudly maintain the same traditions and rituals that build character, create a sense of team, family and acceptance. While we hold true to our tradition of excellence, we have also grown with the times and offer a variety of camp programs that meet the growing needs and interests of today’s campers. We take great pride in our staff as they define the camp experience. Each team member is hand selected to meet the needs of each individual camper and program.
