I enjoy teaching everything from yoga and dance to acting and speech. With an MFA in Theatre and years performing professionally, I draw on my knowledge and experience in various somatic techniques to offer my students multiple methods to approach what they are learning. I weave in elements of Alexander Technique, Pilates, Dance, Linklater, FitzMaurice, and Batdorf Proprioceptive Awareness to help those I work with become self-aware, in mind, body, and spirit.
After getting my BA in Theatre and a minor in International Relations from USC, I performed all over the United States, Canada, and Latin America. I have performed in two national tours of musicals, as well as at Madison Square Garden. I am a member of Actors Equity Association, and am even certified in unarmed stage combat. I also have an extensive background in anatomy and physiology, which I use to maintain the alignment and safety of my students. While my background has been primarily in Vinyasa and Power Yoga, I have found myself drawn to Restorative Yoga and the benefits it provides. I am certified with Yoga Alliance as a 200 hr YTT (currently working on myt 300 hr). I am also certified in Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga, and Ayurvedic Living. In my class, you can always expect a safe, “judgment-free zone” where you are free to listen to and honor your body. I work with all ages and ability levels, and tailor my classes to the student's needs. Namaste!
