RED BALL

AGES 6 - 8

This one-hour class, designed for kids ages 6-8, develops the joy of the game while introducing basic technical skills. Using kid-sized rackets, small nets, and low compression red tennis balls, we play games with kids to help them learn how to track a moving ball and respond to it. Kid-to-kid cooperation skills are emphasized allowing players to move and respond to a live ball.

Orange Ball

AGES 9-11

Orange ball players are introduced to another dimension, larger court space, regular sized nets, and firmer Orange tennis balls. Players work on gaining consistency in their strokes with faster drills and learn to direct shots away from their opponents.

GREEN BALL

AGES 11 - 13

Green ball players develop and understanding of the opponent's strengths and weaknesses and learn to incorporate these tactics in attacking and defending their position. Players prepare for the physical demands of covering a full court, increased tactical development is emphasized including use of angles, spin, and depth control.

Yellow Ball

AGES 12+

The final stage of the tennis development pathway. We review the skills and techniques developed over the years and focus on social interaction with other players.
