I first came to Thoreau over 15 years ago in search of a mom-and-baby swim class. I haven't left since! In that time, my husband, Anton, and I have practically raised our family here at Thoreau, it's been our home-away-from-home. Having spent time marketing for high-tech companies, Thoreau was a place where I could combine my skills with the values of health and family, which are important to me. I've had a number of roles in the 10 years I've worked at Thoreau, and they've all been fun and rewarding. My love for tennis began about 6 years ago when I, (somewhat reluctantly), signed up for the adult learn-to-play tennis program. Although learning a new sport as an adult can be intimidating, I was hooked from the very first class. I've spent a lot of time on the courts since then. Not only have I found many good friends through tennis, as a fitness enthusiast, I appreciate tennis as a "whole" sport, engaging the mind and the body on many different levels. I grew up in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, bratwurst and polka capital of the world. . My family and I love exploring New England and taking advantage of the short drive to all the fabulous places it has to offer.
