Swimming has always been a part of my life. Starting at the age of six, I swam for my hometown team in Bulgaria, comparable to a USA swim team and continued to swim all through college. My events were 100 & 200 butterfly and 200 & 400 IM. When I moved to the United States, I connected to swimming again as a coach and a swim instructor at the West Suburban YMCA. There I was part of a coaching team for over 100 kids ages 6 through 18. I helped many of the kids with techniques and strategies of how to approach a race, as well as being a part of team.

I am a literal swim fanatic, following all the swim events closely. Last year I treated myself with a trip to see Philips 66 International Team Trials, qualifications for the Worlds in Hungary. I had to chance to meet and briefly talk to some of the coaches I admire: David Marsh, Bob Bowman, and the legendary Eddie Reese.

My family and I swim at The Thoreau Club recreationally. My son is a part of the Thoreau Sharks team and loves being in the water.

I am looking forward to connecting with swimmers and their families at The Thoreau Club, sharing my experience and passion for swimming!
